Købe en komplet pool eller bygge din pool fra bunden?

Yes, of course, it is a matter of taste. But many people don't even know that they also have a choice when it comes to a pool.

It has become increasingly popular to have a saltwater pool in recent years. Many experience that the water feels softer and that there is less maintenance involved. But there are a few things you should consider before making your decision.

If you want to customize your pool, you can of course choose to build it from scratch.

Excavation and earthworks must then be carried out carefully. Walls and base plates are built on site using edge elements, reinforcement mesh, and concrete. But this requires a lot of work and takes a long time. And it is not something you should do yourself, even if you are handy.

Another option is to buy a complete pool from scratch. It is delivered as a whole shell that is lowered into a hole in the ground with a crane. Of course, some work must be done before and after. But the installation time is much shorter, and the work is not as demanding. If you are used to building, it is something you can do yourself.

Plan to get all the parts at the same time

When you order a complete pool, suppliers often offer various package solutions. It is a good idea to look at them before you decide. And the better you have thought it all through and put together your package with all the details, the faster you will have the pool ready for swimming.

Much can already be assembled and prepared in the pool itself, even when it is delivered. Outlets, inlets, lights, and stairs can already be in place. In addition, the entire machine room with sand filter, pool heat pump, and automated chlorine and purification systems can be delivered ready at the same time as the pool.

If you want a pool cover or other enclosure, it is also nice to have it in place right away. So discuss all the details with your pool supplier and get help putting together a complete package. That way, you will finish faster when the pool has arrived.

Preparation before delivery

However, some things must be done before the pool is delivered. For example, a hole must be dug where the pool can be lowered. If the soil is sandy or the groundwater is high, it may be necessary to cast a base plate. In addition, a prepared place for the filter and pump is required near the pool.

.

To carry out this preparatory work, many hire someone to dig, remove soil, make a base layer, and ensure that the bottom is properly drained. But of course, you can also do this yourself if you are used to building.

Do you need a large or a small crane?

When the finished pool is delivered, it is lowered into the hole with a crane truck. Therefore, it is a good idea to think about where the truck can be parked and how accessible the location is where you want the pool. Can the crane truck drive onto the property? And if it has to be placed outside... how far in must the crane reach? Is a large or small crane truck needed? Discuss with the supplier, who is used to finding solutions.

FinishingWhen the pool is in place, it must be connected, and the space around the pool walls must be filled with macadam and concrete as the water flows in. It is still somewhat of a tedious task to get a pool. But with a complete pool

that is lifted into place, it is significantly less work and goes much faster than if you build it from scratch.
