The pool robot operates with a pump that circulates water through a filter, which captures leaves and debris from the pool floor. The pool robot is intelligent and calculates the pool surface, and some even climb up the walls to clean the pool wall.

With electric pool robots, you have a long 12-16 m electric cable for the pool robot (some models also work with batteries). The pool robot vacuums the entire pool floor, and some models also clean the walls by climbing up the pool wall. The pool robot has either a basket or a bag where leaves and debris are collected.

When a pool robot is connected to the skimmer basket, the water flow creates suction under the pool robot, which attaches to the pool floor and hops around. Dirt ends up either in the robot itself or in the pool pump basket.
