Kollektion: Pool heat pump

A pool heat pump is a popular solution for heating your pool. By combining the pool heat pump with a pool cover, you can keep your pool at 30 degrees Celsius from April to October without your electricity bill rising significantly.

Why should you have a heat pump for your pool?

Since the Swedish summer is often unpredictable, a pool heat pump is an accessory that many choose to buy for their pool. The pool heat pump is easy to set up, as it has a built-in flow meter and detects whether the water flow should stop. It also has a built-in timer, so you can connect the circulation pump to the heat pump.

Why should I choose the Azuro pool heat pump?

Azuro heat pumps are reliable yet competitively priced pool heat pumps for a low budget. Azuro pool heat pumps are available as both ON/OFF and inverter pool heat pumps.

Why should I choose the Brilix pool heat pump?

Brilix heat pumps are the best-selling in Sweden. The model with XHPFDPLUS is an ON/OFF pump, while XHPFDPLUS-E is an inverter pool heat pump where the compressor is stepless. If you choose the XHPFDPX model, you get a powerful machine with full inverter technology, where the compressor, fan, and valve are all stepless, and you get the capacity COP value up to over 13!

Why should I choose a Pahlen pool heat pump?

Pahlen's heat pumps are our latest addition. Pahlen is characterized by premium products, and they have also proven their capabilities here. Their Calidi pool heat pumps are available as high-quality inverter pumps. Plastic cabinet that does not rust, and reliable operation.

The difference between ON/OFF pool heat pumps compared to inverter or full inverter pool heat pumps?

ON/OFF heat pumps are the most common and simplest pool heat pumps on the market. These measure the temperature of the pool water and either start at full power at 100% when the temperature needs to be raised or turn off when the temperature is reached.

Inverter/semi-inverter pool heat pumps have a stepless compressor, while the coil and three-way valve still operate like an ON/OFF pump. With a stepless compressor, the heat pump can run at a certain percentage of the total power, for example only 40%, to save energy. Inverter pool heat pumps are therefore an economical solution and usually have a COP value of 9-12. Semi-inverter heat pumps have fan speeds that can have 3-5 speeds.

Full-inverter pool heat pumps have stepless operation for the compressor, fan, and three-way valve and are the most optimal and most efficient pool heat pumps on the market with a COP value of around 16-20.
Inverter heat pumps have three options on the display:

Silent – Operation is optimized to minimize fan speed, and the heat pump runs at 10-30%.
Smart – The heat pump's speed is 30-80%.
Power – The heat pump operates like an ON/OFF pump, and the speed goes up to 80%-100%.

What should be considered when buying a heat pump for the pool?

When buying a pool heat pump, you should consider the location of the pool heat pump, the size of the pool heat pump, and what type of pool heat pump you are looking for. The location of the pool heat pump should be as close as possible to the pool inlet to avoid heat loss between the pool heat pump and the inlet. A standard measurement is that the pool heat pump should not be placed closer than 10 m to the inlet.

How do I know which pump I need for my pool?

A pool heat pump is chosen based on the size of the pool. A standard measurement is that a 3x6m pool with a pool cover can maintain 25 degrees with a 5kW pool heat pump. A 4x8m pool with a pool cover can manage with 9kW, and a 5x10m pool with a pool cover can manage with a 12kW pool heat pump.

If you remove the pool cover, you should go one size up, so you get a 3×6 m pool with 9 kW, a 4×8 m pool with 12 kW, and a 5×10 m pool with a 16 kW pool heat pump. Much depends, of course, on the outdoor temperature, as a pool can easily lose several degrees during the night, especially if it is cold outside.

Accessories for pool heat pumps

For pool heat pumps, a bypass connection consisting of three ball valves is recommended. Through a bypass connection, you can control the water flow through the pool heat pump. If the flow is too fast, the water can pass through without the pool heat pump heating it at all, and then you lose the effect.

A wall bracket can also be purchased for heat pumps. The floor bracket with rubber feet is included in the package.
