Which pools do you find with us?
Today there are many different approaches to building a pool and many different materials to choose from. There are many different types of pools on the market, and these can be divided into two categories. Pools that are delivered in parts and those that are delivered as a “whole tub.” With a pool that is delivered assembled, that is a “whole tub,” the installation is much faster, and you do not need to have a PVC liner in the pool.
Thermoplastic Pool / PP Pool, eco-friendly “all-in-one” complete pool package
Thermoplastic pool or polypropylene pool (PP Pool) / Plastic pool is the latest technology in the pool industry. The pool's material consists of an environmentally friendly material called Polypropylene and belongs to the group of thermoplastics. These have an extremely good insulation capacity.
Thermoplastic pools are delivered as a "single shell" just like fiberglass pools. Since polypropylene is a homogeneous material, osmosis/blistering does not occur. Something that can happen in cheap fiberglass pools that contain polyester. The material is very durable, which means even dogs can swim in the pool! To read more about our PP Pools, please see our pool catalog.

Fiberglass pool
This pool is delivered as a "complete tub". This type of pool has been highly sought after in the market in recent years. At Pooltime, we carefully select our suppliers to ensure your pool's lifespan is as long as possible. Fiberglass is a very sensitive material, which makes it especially important to choose the right supplier.
The reason is that cheap (low quality) fiberglass pools containing polyester can develop something called blistering or osmosis. Where the polyester slowly allows water to pass through, which then freezes in winter. This causes your pool to crack and/or mold in summer as well as form bubbles on the surface layer.
Our supplier offers the world's most unique pool from the patented Composite Armour technology. These fiberglass pools are also called composite pools.
Composite pools contain a mesh of Kevlar and carbon fiber, which makes the pool walls flexible but also incredibly durable. Composite pools contain only vinylester and not polyester, which is why these pools are guaranteed for life.
Thermo Pool / Iso Pool
complete pool package
The thermal pool consists of polystyrene blocks, which are then filled with concrete, forming the pool's frame. We offer Thermal Pools from Chemoform. The pool wall is then covered with a liner, available in many different colors. Isopool is a perfect choice for those who find it difficult to get a finished pool onto their land.
No matter which pool model you decide on, you are welcome to consult with our sales representatives before purchasing a pool. In-ground or Above-ground pool, Fiberglass pool, Thermoplastic pool, Thermal pool, or Liner pool – We help you choose the right dream pool for your property!
Here is more information about our thermal pools or configure the thermal pool directly in our online store.
Above ground pool / children's pool
Above-ground pools, also known as kiddie pools, come in many different sizes. What they have in common is that they stand above the ground and are a self-supporting construction of metal frame and liner.
Above-ground pools / kiddie pools are usually entry-level models, where you first buy an above-ground pool as a family pool, as a test. Many people who have tried an above-ground pool often choose an in-ground pool as a permanent pool.
You can find our models of above-ground pools this spring in the online store.
Complete pool packages
We have developed complete pool packages to make it easier for our customers when purchasing a pool. If you don't work with pools, it can be difficult to know which products you actually need for the pool or the accessories. By building a pool on your own in Copenhagen
There are many customers who want to handle the construction of their pool themselves. In that case, it can be good to know the price of building a pool. The prices we offer for pool installation are very competitive, and it is often better to let a professional take care of the pool construction instead of doing it yourself.
If you choose an expert for the job, you know that everything will be done correctly, it will go faster, you can spend time on other things, sit back and enjoy the pool when it is ready. During home visits in Copenhagen, the excavator and pool installer/pool builder are on site, so your offer will be as accurate as possible. It is a perfect opportunity to ask them any questions you may have about the pool construction before you get started. Then you are free to start building your dream pool.
Good to think about before building a pool
Although building permits or land permits are usually not required when constructing a pool in Copenhagen and the surrounding area, some common sense is still necessary when building a pool. Some things that are good to consider before you build are:
- Check for any cables and pipes near your foundation on the website ledningkollen.se… It is the customer's responsibility to check where the cables are before building a pool. This is the best way to know where not to place the pool.
- Talk to neighbors in the area who have built pools. It is good to know the soil conditions and groundwater level before building.
- Consider whether you have the time and energy to build the pool yourself, or if it is better to take on a partial or full contract.
- It is also good to think about when during the year it is best for you to start building your pool.
- Read about the different pool constructions available. What advantages and disadvantages do they have for you.

Tilbehør till pooler i Copenhagen
With us, you will also find a very wide selection of pool accessories that you can imagine needing for your pool. Choose from pool accessories that make it more comfortable to be in the pool or more practical.
The basic equipment for a swimming pool includes a circulation pump that circulates the water in the pool and a sand filter that cleans the water. Then there are various accessories to make the pool water cleaner. A UV lamp alters the bacteria's DNA so that it cannot reproduce in the water, which means that 70-80% less chlorine is required.
A pool heat pump is necessary if you want to heat the pool water to 30 degrees, which means you can use the pool from March to October. Pool covers are also a popular pool accessory that insulates the pool and prevents dirt or leaves from getting into the pool, and protects children and animals from falling into the pool.
Some examples of the accessories we offer in our range:
- Pool covers – liners
- Pool & spa chemicals
- Pool robot & pool maintenance
- Water purification
- Pool lighting
- Edging stones
- Jet swimming
- Pool pump & electrical cabinet
The location of its pool
It is very important to place your pool correctly. Not only for practical reasons, such as where your cables run, but also for optimal use of the pool. It is also a permanent decision; the location of the pool cannot be changed after the pool is installed and ready.
It is a good idea to place your pool in a well-used gathering spot in the garden. However, not too close to exits from the house—you don’t want to be at risk of falling into the pool every time you go out. But also not too far from the house, as for many it is a pleasure to see the pool. Many people feel comfortable being near water and seeing the blue water sparkle in the pool. It is something you never get tired of. Having good supervision over the pool is also important if you have children or pets.
Pool cover
Another thing that is good to keep in mind is to have a couple of meters of free space behind the pool if you want a pool cover. What many do not consider is that the pool cover needs space when it is not covering the pool. This is usually called the "parking space" on the pool cover.
A good thing to remember is that you need at least 1 meter extra beyond the "parking space" to be able to walk around your pool. And even if you do not plan to buy a pool cover, it can be good to keep in mind if you want to buy a cover for your pool at a later time.
Safety is the most common reason to buy a pool cover, but there are also other good reasons to get a pool cover. The pool cover protects the water in the pool from impurities such as sand, stones, dirt, leaves, and not least rainwater, which changes the pool's pH value.
A pool cover is also a good economic option. If you cover the pool with a pool cover, you can use the pool for a longer period and extend the swimming season. You can then expect to be able to swim in the pool from April to October in 28-30 degree water, as the pool cover has a high insulation capacity.
Pool ladders
Pool skimmers should always be placed at the end closest to the house/patio/balcony on your property. You should also consider where the sun rises and sets, so you get the sun on your face and not on your back. A smaller pool of 3 x 6 m, a corner staircase, a rounded corner staircase, or a corner staircase with a bench is preferable. This is to be able to use the entire length of the pool.
For a larger pool of 4 x 8 m, a full gable staircase or a corner staircase with a bench is recommended. You can then sit by your weekend gable staircase, just as you can go down into the pool. In recent years, however, it has become more popular to use a corner staircase with a bench instead, because full gable staircases take up 1.2 m of the pool's length.
How big a pool in Copenhagen should you choose?
The basic rule says that if you have a smaller plot of <400 m2, a pool size of 3 x 6 m is recommended. While large plots of >400 m2 can have pool sizes of 4 x 8 m or larger. These two pool sizes are standard, and all pool covers are made according to these pool sizes.
Choosing a pool that fits everyone's needs and the whole family is not always an easy task. But building an oasis on your property where you can escape from the heat of central Copenhagen is priceless.
A lovely and refreshing swim, appreciated by both adults and children as well as guests. A pool you can enjoy for many years to come, which can also increase the value of your house in Copenhagen.
